Hawaii Business Hall of Fame
Since 1990, the JA Hawaii Business Hall of Fame has honored the state’s most distinguished businessmen and women for their outstanding contributions to free enterprise and the promise of a better, stronger society.
Hawaii Island’s inductees to the JA Hawaii Business Hall of Fame include Robert “Bobby” Fujimoto (1990), John W.A. “Doc” Buyers (1994), Allan Ikawa (1995), Jack Miyashiro (1997), Tony Taniguchi (posthumously in 1998), Edward T. Fukuda (2001), Richard Miyashiro (posthumously in 2002), David Le Luz, Sr. (2004), Harold Tanouye (2007), Richard Ha (2008), Herbert “Monty” Richards 2009, Barry K. Taniguchi (2010), Richard Henderson (2011), Ric Maiava and Debra Ching-Maiava (2012), Russell Oda (2013) and the Kamitaki/Mizoguchi Family (2014).
